Water
· Drink six to eight glasses of water each day
· Eliminate soda and coffee
· Drink 6 to 8 glasses of clean water each day. Most of us are relatively dehydrated. We need to get more water in and out of our cells. Juice, tea, milk, and other fluids don’t count. Just plain water.
· Drink filtered or spring water. Water from the tap is not good for long term consumption. The most economical and environmentally friendly way to get clean water is with a point-of-use water filter, one that sits on top of the counter next to the sink or one that is installed under the counter.
· The net cost per gallon of filtered water will be 2 or 3 cents per gallon, and you won’t have to throw away plastic bottles into the landfill.
· The filtering unit should include a filter for particulate matter, a carbon component for chemicals, and KDF for removing chlorine. These filters sell for approximately $120, and replacement cartridges (up to 1,000 gallons) are about $40. Brita filters don’t do a good job with chemicals other than lead and chlorine, and with expensive replacement cartridges the cost per gallon of Brita water is higher than other filters. Filters that cost more than a couple of hundred dollars don’t add much value for the price.
· Shower and bathe in filtered water. We absorb more volatile chemicals like chlorine in the shower and bath than from drinking water. Buy a filter that fits onto your shower nozzle or get a KDF ball to put into your bath water. Shower filters cost about $40 and KDF bath balls cost about $30.
· Drink “structured” with a low surface tension. The structure of water refers to the molecular bonds between water molecules. Water with low surface tension is “wetter” than water with high surface tension. It gets nutrients in and out of your cells more easily. Water with low surface tension feels different. It is health promoting and it quenches thirst more readily.
· Crystal Energy is added to water to create “structured” water with low surface tension. Water with Crystal Energy and Super Hydrate cost about $2 per gallon.
· Penta Water is prepackaged. It is eight times more expensive with minimal additional benefit.
